Celebrating life in it! Seen 10

Celebrate life

You can rise from the dust and ashes!

Looking from afar, my life may look perfect and blissful, with two beautiful children and a handsome husband, a fairly big home of our own (mortgage), and being high class professionals in both our careers.

Delving a bit below this surface, rumbles a cloud of silent chaos, let me call it turbulence because we manage to hold our heads above waters, while attacks and arrows thrust in from all sides, it looks like we have shock absorbers and shield bearers fighting alongside us.

The saying that ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ usually comes to my mind when I reflect on the happenings around me sometimes, it’s hard to tell what’s behind this smile I carry around. I’ve been made to believe that I look ten years younger than my real age and i normally feel stronger, but the real gist is that I’ve been through five corrective surgeries and three treatments within 20 years of my life, got married and had children in between, travelled to a few countries far and near, taken on a couple of self development, professional and financial development training and put together my coaching course, started a small business and on the path to progression in my career.

My recent trip to my homeland (Nigeria), was a big challenge, I look forward to sharing this experience here, in future. I longed to see my mum after a long while, so after my last surgery and within treatment, my entire family took a flight from the United Kingdom where we reside and went home for about two weeks. It was risky but a step of faith, and I’ll say, it was worth it.

We have all had big challenges in my family, I’m just sharing mine, our children have been more shielded though, maybe I’ll share some challenges my hubby and children has been through, in future, just to encourage someone.

I keep going because I know I have something bigger and better in me, I will not quit or cave in, I’m a fighter in Christ.

I became passionate with maintaining good health by eating healthy and doing regular exercises. I’m a minister of the gospel of Christ, a nurse by profession, a Food scientist graduate and trained on nutrition and healthy lifestyle.

I also took my spiritual life more seriously by getting closer to God, reading and meditating on His Word in the bible, this especially helped me through my healing process and mental state. I joined a community of Christian women who are passionate and committed to living Godly lives and fulfilling the call of God in their lives, and also helping other women do so, and this has enriched my life so much. If you desire to know more, and be part of this community, indicate below, or email me.

I see myself emerging stronger everyday and am looking forward to a great future.

You can share your challenges and wins below as well, to encourage someone, I know some people may have been through greater ones than me, but when we overcome through grit and determination, we can show gratitude by encouraging others. Gratitude is a weapon against depression, it creates happiness and releases happy hormones in us. When we praise God for what He’s done, we welcome and attract better things into our lives. Proverbs 17:22 (NIV), says that a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
